OEM versus Compatible Toner Cartridge Savings

The toner program enables buyers to purchase both OEM and high quality compatible toner cartridges. The buyer donates to the non-profit organization whether they purchase the familiar OEM cartridge or elect to save up to 30% of the toner cost by using a compatible cartridge.

There are many myths and misunderstandings about all toner cartridges. We would like to address these to help buyers decide what is best for them and their bottom line.  The two types of toner cartridges differ primarily in who manufactures them. The OEM cartridge is sold under the brand name of the printer manufacturer whereas another company manufactures the compatible cartridge.   The compatible toner products included in our toner program are high quality toner cartridges that are manufactured to OEM specifications under stringent quality control standards to assure performance that equals or exceeds that of the original equipment manufacturer. All of the toner is backed by a manufacturer’s warranty and the use of these compatible cartridges will not void the printer’s warranty. It is important to note that no refilled toner cartridges are included in the program.

The benefit of employing compatible toner cartridges to most organizations is in the bottom line. A high quality compatible cartridge can provide print quality and performance equivalent to the OEM cartridge and at the same time provide significant cost savings. We highly recommend that every organization evaluate at least one of the compatible toner cartridges. A successful application of these cartridges holds potential savings for some organizations may be in the tens of thousands of dollars per year.

We are aware that many organizations are reluctant to try compatible cartridges based on rumors of poor quality or a negative experience with a refilled or remanufactured cartridge. This is not the case with the high quality compatible cartridges included in our toner program. If you are considering how compatible toner cartridges can be employed in your organization, give us a call or contact us by e-mail at toner@cecharity.com. You may even qualify to receive a free toner cartridge for your evaluation.

Let us look at the potential savings that could be realized from employing compatible toner cartridges in an organization. Note that in some cases a complete 100% migration from OEM to compatible cartridges may not be possible due to the fact that some special cartridges may not be available and the fact that some users may refuse to employ a compatible cartridge. The calculator below that looks at saving for 100% migration as well as 75% and 50% migration to compatible toner cartridges.  Use the calculator below to estimate your potential savings.
